Checklist of Impending Dad

Things to do before my paternal unit arrives:

	Vacuum carpeting
	Deliver leftover frisbees to team captain
	Clean bathrooms
	Pay bills
	Clean kitchen
	Sweep & tidy study/guest bedroom
	Put away kitten paraphernalia
	Laundry
	Buy tiebacks for curtains (went to Birdbath & Beyonce tonight and they didn't have the ones I want in stock)
	Fix light fixture (doubtful)

Debbi located my broken light fixture! She went to the Web site for Lamps Plus and found it: a Quoizel Electra Collection 16" fixture. She even called a store and found that they can order me replacement glass - for a lot less than replacing the whole damn fixture! It will be a couple of weeks before it arrives, but at least it can be done! Whew!

Now I just need to find a replacement spring for the latch for the cover, which disappeared in my ill-fated attempt to take off the cover. We looked around, but it's very small and just disappeared into the ether. Hopefully I can find a suitable replacement at a hardware store or something.

Spies will be down starting tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, hopefully back up by the afternoon. The box is physically moving locations. So if you can't connect to my Web site for a while, that's probably why!
