Gazing into the Abyss: Michael Rawdon's Journal

Lazy Day at Home

Gee, it's been a while since I've written an entry every day for a week. Not a bad send-off before the winter holidays. (Well, except for you Australian readers, where I imagine it's the summer holidays, if it's holidays at all.)

Of course, I don't really have much to write about today, as Apple gave us the day off, so I spent it sleeping in, watching TV, reading, running a couple of errands, petting the cats, cleaning... well I guess it was a pretty full day! It sure seemed to go slowly, though; I had plenty of time to sit around and do pretty much whatever I wanted.

I actually only did just a little bit of reading, or I imagine the day would have passed faster.

I had dinner with Trish tonight. We jabbered about Lucy's party last Sunday (she's never going to let me live down Sei calling me "cute"), went to get Chinese food, and watched VH-1. And she played with the cats for a bit, which they enjoyed.

It sounds like she had a pretty crummy week. Maybe her weekend will be better. I guess she got a bunch of her Christmas shopping done today. (I gave her a present - a couple of Calvin & Hobbes books - tonight.)

---

I did a little updating of my cast list yesterday, adding a couple of people and links and correcting some statements that, in the progress of time, have become inaccurate.

I've also been getting my SF conventions page changed around to reflect the fact that I now live in California rather than the Midwest (gee, it's only taken me two years!). It seems like there just aren't very many conventions in California, which surprises me more than slightly. If anyone knows of any that I've missed, please let me know. (I think there's a "furry" convention in the area, but since my interest in furry fandom is near zero, I'm unlikely to ever attend.)

---

The cats sure have been happy to have my home today; they've been all over me. I bought them a couple of catnip-filled mousie toys as Christmas gifts. My cats have wa-ay too many toys.
