How Strange

A Stupid Filesystem Trick resulted in yesterday's entry not being posted. Amazingly, it wasn't until mid-afternoon when Jim wrote me to ask if I was pulling a joke that I knew this had happened. Before then I hadn't a clue!

Feel free to heap abuse on me if I do this in the future. Or at least tell me.

Not a lot to tell about today. I welcomed my boss back from vacation, and played Starcraft in the evening with the Ben tag-team. Oh, and I did some real work, too. But talking about the test program I'm writing, and the bugs I logged today seems less-than-ideal as a journal entry, for various reasons.

I did send mail to some friends asking for advice on where to buy pillows out here, since I'm in need of some new ones. Ceej sent what sounds like a good suggestion.

If you're a Mac user, you might check out iCab, a new Web browser for the Mac which is in prerelease. It lacks good Java and Javascript support, and it has crashed on me a couple of times, but it does have the advantage of having a small (~4 Mb!) memory footprint, and is noticibly faster than Netscape or IE. It also won instant points with me by creating and using a copy of my Netscape bookmarks, so I don't have to enter them over again. Terrific!
