A Cool Idea and a Tough Decision

I had an idea about my journal tonight, a pretty neat thing that I don't think has yet been tried in an on-line journal (at least, I haven't yet seen anything even remotely like it). It's going to take a little work to do, so I may not get to it 'til this weekend (especially since I have to write an APAzine by Sunday). But hopefully it will be really cool once it's done.

Yeah, I'm only going to tease you with it right now. But I will tell you that it's an organizational thing, not a content thing (well, maybe a meta-content thing).

I spent an hour at work today discussing my current project with my boss - not so much because he's my boss, but because it impacts his next project. We've come up against a sticky issue, where there seem to be several options which seem to have equal validity (i.e., we like none of them), and we each have differing opinions on the best one to take. We finally decided we need to get customer input to make an intelligent decision. It's fun to have these discussions with Cliff; we work well together in this way.

Although once we had a long disagreement like this and compromised in some slightly-boneheaded way, prompting our head documentor to say, "I wish you and Cliff would either communicate more, or less, but I'm not sure which." Sometimes there is no good solution, I guess.

It was brutally hot and humid today. It's okay until about 1 pm when it gets just unbearable until the sun goes down. Ugh. Biking in tomorrow should be "fun". Well, it's supposed to dehumidify later in the week and the temperature's supposed to fall back to the mid-80s by Saturday. That should be okay. And I do have A/C both at home and at work.

Maybe I'll try to wrap up my Sandal Quest this weekend.
