Pretty Laid Back

Well, my car didn't start this morning; the battery's dead. So I'll take it to Sears tomorrow and get a new battery. It's been about four years (maybe five) since this battery was installed, and with Wisconsin winters and all, I guess it's about time. No big deal.

So I took the bus into work today, which is actually kind of fun. I chatted with a couple of other Epic employees who take the bus, and watched all the people getting on and off. I got a ride home from work from a friend who will jump my car tomorrow so I can get it to Sears.

I realized this morning that my light jacket has disappeared. I think I left it downtown at the gyro place where I had dinner on Saturday. So I went down there, and they said they did find a jacket, but they'd misplaced it and could I come back later? Sure, why not.

The temperature dropped from about 60 degrees to about 40 during the course of the day, so by the time I walked down there I was wearing my leather coat anyway.

I also got my winnings for my fantasy baseball league, which will more than pay for that new car battery. Actually, I'll probably put it in savings. The house thing, you know.

I've spent the evening watching the baseball playoffs, cooking dinner, and doing some more work for the SF3 web site. As soon as I put this entry up, I'm going to go watch more baseball and keep reading A Canticle for Leibowitz.

And probably pet some cats, too.
